Mounties in Swift Current are looking for an 87-year-old Montana woman who was last heard from by family a week ago and may have become confused on a trip through the province.

Catherine Rawson stands five-feet-tall with a slim build, brown eyes and reddish-white hair, and may be driving a yellow 2004 Toyota Corolla with a Montana license plate.

Family members reported her missing on Thursday after last speaking with her on July 14.

At that time she told relatives she was at a Swift Current business during a trip from Montana to potentially Saskatoon or Melville areas.

Anyone with relevant information should contact Swift Current rural detachment by phoning 310-RCMP (310-7267).

Fatal crash in Crowsnest

RCMP in the Crowsnest Pass say that a B.C. woman is dead after her SUV collided with a passenger bus on Highway No. 3 on Thursday evening.

The crash occurred at about 7:45 p.m. between Lundbreck and Bellevue, and caused the closure of the highway for several hours.

Initial investigations suggest the SUV crossed the centre lane and collided head on with the bus. The SUV driver, a 44-year-old female from Fernie, BC, was declared dead at the scene, while six of 27 passengers on the bus received minor injuries. Two were sent to hospital.
