Correction: Lethbridge Memorial Cup bid still requires final approval

@MedicineHatNews A proposed $1.25-million grant that the City of Lethbridge would provide to a hosting bid for the 2026 Memorial Cup Tournament still requires final approval by that city’s council. An incorrect impression may have been made by reading a related article in the July 13 edition of the News. The bid and potential level of civic support to host the major junior hockey championship in Lethbridge in two years was discussed at a city council priorities meeting last week. A final decision on the recommendation to provide the grant to a successful bid still must be debated in full meeting of Lethbridge city council. 4-3
