@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat Public Library is offering a chance for residents to reconnect to their inner child with a series of play activities for adults. The program, Reconnecting to Play: It’s Not Just for Kids, offered its first session Tuesday, but will continue throughout July and August on July 9 and 15 at 6 p.m, and then Aug. 13, 20 and 26. The event offers “Nerf wars, sensory play, forts, giant parachute fun, a real-world spin on the Hungry Hungry Hippos board game that you have to see to believe, and much more,” reads a social media post by MHPL. “Building play into your day is a great way to work out, but playing also improves our creativity, builds social connection and supports healthier relationships. Most importantly though – it’s fun,” said MHPL. Those interested in attending are asked to register at mhpl.info/register. 7
