The Medicine Hat Moose Lodge celebrated its sponsorship dinner on June 20, and distributed $30,000 to local community groups and endeavours.

Lodge past president Don Collins said the annual supper at the lodge also acted as a launchpad for the 2025 fundraising at the lodge, now located at 901 Eighth St. S.W.

The Order is also preparing to host the Alberta Moose Convention and international delegates in September.

This month, the service club donated $5,000 to HALO air rescue society, and continued their decades long title sponsorship of the Moose Monarchs American Legion baseball team with $5,000.

It also added $2,500 to an established endowment at Medicine Hat College that provides scholarships.

Other recipients were:

– Medicine Hat Boxing Club, $2,500;

– Medicine Hat Cares Society, $2,500;

– SPCA Medicine Hat, $2,500;

– Medicine Hat Root Cellar food bank, $2,500;

– Women’s Shelter, $2,500;

– Salvation Army, $2,500.

– AJ’s Loan Cupboard, $2,500.

The Alberta Moose Association provided two $2,400 donations to the MH Public Library and the Root Cellar, respectively.
