Bow Island’s historic theatre will once again be hosting a show to remember as it welcomes Marcus Trummer to the stage on June 15.
Trummer is an up and coming artist who “weaves blues, soul, R&B and rock into a modern sound steeped in tradition,” said Blues at the Bow organizers in a release.
“Dubbed ‘a precocious guitarist whose vocals possess a wise-beyond-his-years weariness’ by the Calgary Herald, the young artist from the Canadian city of Calgary has built a reputation as a compelling live performer off the back of playing shows throughout Western Canada,” said BATBOW.
Trummer has also been recognized for his songwriting, with his single, Running on My Own, receiving the award for Blues Recording of the Year at Calgary’s YYC Music Awards in 2022, and more recently, as a winner of the Tellueride Blues Challenge.
Doors open at the Blues and the Bow theatre in Bow Island at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are available on Eventbrite.
“With such an incredible up-and-coming artist, this show is sure to be one for the books, and one that no one will want to miss because you’ll one day be able to say, ‘I saw him at Blues at the Bow,” the release read.
