newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat Health Foundation hopes to welcome residents to the 2024 Community Cares Gala, to help raise money for cardiac care in the city. “When it comes to cardiac emergencies, every second makes a difference,” the foundation says in a press release. “That’s why having the best possible treatment close to home is so important. So, this year, we’re raising money for new equipment and services that will improve cardiac care right here in Medicine Hat.” Tickets are $100 – $90 early-bird price until May 27 – are now available for the June 8 event, which will run at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital from 6:30-11:30 p.m. A table of six is $540. The evening will feature a meal, as well as live music from Medicine Hat’s own Dan Howard and stand-up from international touring comedian Kelly Taylor. It is also the first fundraiser ever held in a working hospital in Alberta, said the foundation.
