AltaLink to conduct aerial patrol of power lines

newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews AltaLink advises residents that they will be conducting an aerial patrol of its electrical transmission facilities. The patrol will be done using a helicopter, and is a routine annual visual inspection of its transmission lines and surrounding vegetation, to help maintain the reliability of the grid through proactive maintenance. The patrol will take place from April 29 to May 2, throughout the province, including the City of Medicine Hat, City of Brooks, Cypress County and the County of Newell. AltaLink apologizes for any disturbance or inconvenience for residents in the vicinity of power lines, but will be mindful to minimize disruption to residences, area users, livestock and wildlife. 6-5
