Reservations for city campgrounds will open Feb. 1 ahead of the spring camping season, though Gas City Campground will open a month later than usual on May 31 due to construction.
Campers can block off spots online on the city’s reservation system at both the 98-site Gas City location and 10-site Echo Dale Regional campground next week, but only Echo Dale stalls will be available on May 3.
Construction at Gas City will delay its opening to campers until May 31, and then portions of the campground near the WestVue dog park and trail network will be closed throughout the year as water and irrigation lines are upgraded.
Camping at both locations will close after Thanksgiving, Oct. 14.
