Property taxes in Redcliff could rise by just under 3 per cent in 2024, according to updates to the coming year’s operational budget presented Monday to town council.

Overall, the budget requires $177,500 more in tax revenue to cover operations.

That translates to a 2.88 per cent increase, equal to about $41 more for the year considering the average residential property.

Town council was also presented with updated utility rates for 2024.

They show a minor decrease of $1.49 per month in water fees, but increases in sewer fees of $7.49 for residences and $9.79 for non-res and greenhouses, and $1.30 or $4.68 for garbage pickup respectively.

The net monthly change is $7.30 for all services for residential and $12.98 for non-residential accounts.

Among other fee changes, the cost of campsites is set to rise by $5 each night to $25 per day or $45 for serviced sites.
