Male arrested and charged with sex assault, unlawful confinement

https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews Police have arrested and charged a man with sexual assault and unlawful confinement after authorities say they found a woman in distress at a southend parking lot on Sunday. A release from Medicine Hat police criminal investigations unit says a patrol unit responded to a disturbance at a commercial block on Strachan Drive and took a 46-year-old man into custody on Nov. 5. Police say the man and woman were known to each other and they do not believe the general public was not at risk. The man’s name is not being released as it may identify the woman. The male has been released from custody and will next appear in court on Dec. 4. 6-5
