Stampede expansion
City council will consider a Medicine Hat Stampede request for a $15 million grant and $7 million interest free loan for grandstand expansion tonight when council meets at city hall.
That request was made early last month with the Stampede officials saying they had secured a similar grant from the province and the city could complete the $35 million needed to rebuild one grandstand and add event space.

Council will also hear about a new solid waste diversion strategy that could create a pilot project toward separated food waste collection.
Council’s meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and can be watched in person, on Shaw-TV Cable 10 or on the city’s YouTube Channel.
