Travel trailers in local northwest storage facility broken into

Police are investigating after 10 travel trailers were broken in to at a secured storage facility in northwest Medicine Hat.

Medicine Hat police were called the facility in the Brier Park industrial area Wednesday over reports of damage. A release Thursday states they are working with the owners of the RVs to determine what property was stolen.

They are also asking for tips from the public to identify suspects. Anyone with information should call the non-emergency line at 403-529-8481.

Car heist in Coaldale

RCMP in Coaldale suspect three to five people may have been involved as three vehicles and a trailer were taken from the same address in the overnight hours Thursday.

Police say the vehicles were forcefully broken into, hot-wired and driven away from near Sixth and Fourth streets in the town.

They are a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado (dark blue), a 2005 Silverado (white) and a 2007 GMC Sierra (white) along with a 2021enclosed Royal brand trailer that is red.

Anyone with information should contact the Coaldale detachment or their local police.

Child-sex charges in Havre, Mont.

The FBI office in Havre, Mont. is looking for more potential victims after a former Indian Reserve school worker and probation officer was charged with child sexual assault this week.

James Kirby King, 57, of Billings, has pleaded not guilty to 20 counts, including sexual assault, sexual exploration of a minor, attempted aggravated assault and possessing child pornography, among others.

Authorities say the offences took place between 1992 and 2018 at Hays, on the Belknap Indian Reservation, about 100 kilometres southwest of Havre.
