https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews It’s a busy week ahead for the region’s political leaders and engaged citizens, with city and provincial representatives scheduled to hold town halls after joining town, county and federal elected officials for a breakfast forum. It was announced Friday that Premier Danielle Smith and Cypress-Medicine Hat MLA Justin Wright will hold a joint town hall meeting at the Medicine Hat Public Library on Oct. 18, 6-7:30 p.m. in the facility’s theatre. That is a day after city council members are set to appear at a Chamber of Commerce-sponsored town hall meeting at the Esplanade on Tuesday evening (7-9 p.m.). That morning, the mayors and reeve of Medicine Hat, Redcliff and Cypress County will join MLAs, MP Glen Motz and CFB Suffield base commander Lt-Col. Joe Andrechek at the annual Leadership Breakfast. Registration and a fee for the breakfast was required early last week. The town hall is free of charge, but registration is encouraged. The library event is free of charge and will be moderated by chief librarian Ken Feser with questions determined in advance. 8
