Pools and spray parks set to close with summer’s conclusion

The Parks and Recreation department is preparing to the close outdoor pools and spray parks as the summer season concludes.

The Ross Glen Town Centre and Saamis Rotary spray parks will remain open until Sept. 4 within the hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Kiwanis Central and Strathcona Island spray parks are scheduled to remain open between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until weather permits.

The city has also released a closure schedule for its outdoor pools. Strathcona Pool was closed Sunday and Hill Pool and Echo Dale Regional Park Swim Lake will remain open until Sept. 4.

Residents can still look forward to using the city’s indoor pools such as the Crestwood Pool, Big Marble Go Centre and the Kinsman Aquatic Centre in the coming fall and winter seasons.
