Fans of Canada’s women’s soccer team will have an opportunity to catch their team on the big screen.
The City of Medicine Hat, Medicine Hat Soccer Association, Medicine Hat College Rattlers and the Medicine Hat Women’s Soccer League have paired together to host a live stream of Canada’s women’s opening World Cup match.
The live stream of the FIFA Women’s World Cup soccer game between Team Canada and Nigeria on July 20 is free for all to attend, however anyone interested is asked to secure tickets for general admission at http://www.tixx.ca.
The doors open at 7:30 p.m. with opening remarks starting at 8:15 p.m. followed by the start of the match at 8:30 p.m. The event is open to all ages, with additional screens set up in the lobby for those attending with young children. The concession will be open for snacks and bar service.
The Esplanade hosted a similar livestream for the Canadian men’s first match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in November 2022.
