South Ridge Community Park will remain open to the public throughout the summer despite ongoing work to upgrade and enhance park amenities with the goal of improving sustainable maintenance practices. Commencing earlier this week, the work will include irrigation line replacement, washroom facilities upgrades and alternative landscaping integration. Work is expected to continue from now until the end of summer, with crews generally working from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, weather depending. The park, its trails, its tennis courts and horseshoe pits are all expected to remain open for the duration of work, however some areas may be closed temporarily, and the park’s baseball diamonds will be closed throughout. Park visitors are encouraged to obey all postage signage and are asked to avoid active work zones. 6
