The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is inviting Hatters to join in celebrating the planet and all its wonders during the second annual Earth Day Bash, taking place April 22 at Police Point Park. The public event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., allows Hatters of all ages a chance to explore the park and check out various activity stations set up throughout. At each station, attendees will learn more about Earth, the creatures who inhabit it and actions which help protect it. There will also be several opportunities to meet with and learn from park interpreters, as well as some critters who call the park home. Attendees are reminded to grab their Earth Day Bash passport before setting out into the park, so they can receive a passport stamp from the stations they visit. Those who collect stamps from all stations will have their name entered into a prize draw. Admission to the Earth Day Bash is free, however donations to MHIP are appreciated, with donations being put toward local education programming and conservation efforts. 6
