Staff at Paradise Valley’s Clubhouse Restaurant are hoping to raise $10,000 for the Medicine Hat Women;s Shelter Society during their May 13 charity dinner, held in recognition of Mother’s Day. The five-course dinner, comprised of hors d’oeuvres, appetizers, salad, a main course and dessert, costs $120 per person, $80 of which will go toward MHWSS. “I follow MHWSS on their Facebook page and I was reading all the challenges they face,” Clubhouse operator and event organizer Sourav Saha told the News. “So I spoke to my team and we (agreed) we have to go all out and try and raise $10,000 for them. “I think this money will really help in (securing) supplies for people and resources for people when they call (and it will) help MHWSS to relocate them to a safer place.” Saha hopes community members come out to enjoy a delicious meal together, while giving back.
