Milk River ER closed for the weekend

Milk River Health Centre’s emergency department will be closed over the weekend due to a lack of physician coverage, Alberta Health Services announced Friday. The temporary closure began Friday at 5 p.m. and is to last until Monday at 8 a.m. Milk River and area residents in need of urgent medical care during the closure are recommended to call 911 for EMS assistance or seek care at the Raymond Health Centre (60 kilometres away) or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge (87 kilometres away). AHS thanks community members for their patience as staff continue working to address the cause of the temporary closures. 5-4
