Kiwanis Club teams with Police Point Park for Family Day fun

Police Point Park and Medicine Hat’s Kiwanis Club are inviting the community to celebrate Family Day outdoors.

On Feb. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., free snowshoe and cross-country ski rentals will be available at Police Point Park if snow conditions are favourable, or a park-wide scavenger hunt if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Wildlife kits will also be available for $10, which provide the supplies to build a birdhouse, bird feeder or robin shelf.

Hot dogs will also be available for purchase to roast over an open fire, along with complimentary snacks and hot chocolate.

A Story Walk feature Annie Silvestro’s “Mice Skating” will also remain up in the park.
