Three adults from Medicine Hat are facing an array of charges after police uncovered weapons, drugs and cash during an early morning traffic stop on Nov. 25. At approximately 4:10 a.m., police pulled over the vehicle the adults were travelling in on account of a moving infraction. The trio then attempted to flee on foot but were detained by police. While conducting a search of the vehicle, police discovered two swords, a hatchet, a taser, 59.34 grams of fentanyl with an approximate value of $11,800, 227 grams of methamphetamine with an approximated value of $13,620 and $1,600 cash. They also discovered the driver has a suspended licence and was in violation of pre-trial release conditions. As a result, 40-year old Jason Godfrey of Medicine Hat is charged with obstructing a peace officer, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon;, two counts of possession of an illicit substance for the purpose of trafficking, failure to comply with a probation order and two counts of breach of peace bond. Godfrey will remain in police custody until his scheduled court date. Additionally, 37-year old Natasha Morgan and 29-year old Allissa Felkse – both of Medicine Hat – are each facing charges of obstructing a peace officer, possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon and two counts of possession of an illicit substance for the purpose of trafficking. Both Morgan and Felkse were released from police custody. Godfrey, Morgan and Felkse are all scheduled to appear in court Dec. 13. 8
