Opening night of Aladdin Junior at Crescent Heights school was Wednesday. The cast put on a great performance and the theatre was packed with spectators. With a large cast and lots of colourful, glittering costumes, it was an eye-catching performance.
The dialogue was witty and the actors played their roles with aplomb. There are plenty of songs and toe-tapping dance numbers, highlighting the immense talent among the Grade 7-9 students at Crescent Heights.
Fundraising activities were set up in the lobby, including a 50/50 draw. The most popular table was the concession stand, which had lots of treats donated by McBrides Bakery.
Evening performances today and Friday take place at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday’s matinee is at 2 p.m., with the final performance that evening at 5 p.m. Tickets are $18 each.
