A new date has been set for Medicine Hat’s Great Big Pedal, after the July 18 severe storm and tornado forced postponement of the original event.
Now scheduled for Aug. 18, event details and itinerary remain unchanged. The ride – 20K, 10K or 4K in distance – departs from the Kin Coulee band shell at 6:30 p.m. Riders are asked to check in prior to the ride; with check-in running from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. While waiting for their designated start time, riders can check out local food truck vendors stationed nearby.
While registration is not required for the event, it is encouraged. Registration remains open online for anyone who has not yet done so. Re-registration is not required of individuals who registered for the original event. However, organizers ask registered individuals unable to participate in the upcoming event to notify Bike Medicine Hat prior to Aug. 18.
