It’s time for Hatters to dust off their clubs and start dreaming about shooting a hole in one.
With warmer spring weather upon us and on the horizon, Medicine Hat and area golf courses are opening up and getting back in action.
Paradise Valley was the first course to open for 2022 as it got its season underway Monday by opening the front nine. Staff are still working on getting the back nine and driving range up and running. Paradise Valley also plans on having its Toptracer range running in the month of April, which will offer a year round, technology-driven driving range.
Redcliff’s Riverview golf club is open for the season Saturday with tee times available to both members and non-members alike.
Desert Blume also opened up their course on Saturday.
Medicine Hat’s remaining four courses’ opening day is no April fools joke as Connaught Golf Club, Medicine Hat Golf Club and Cottonwood Coulee are all kicking off their seasons on April 1.
Connaught’s driving range is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. as the course is being woken up from its winter’s nap, while Desert Blume’s range will open Wednesday ahead of Friday’s season beginning.
Cottonwood’s driving range is opening Tuesday, running hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the course opens on April 1, with tee times available to book starting Monday.
Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club’s driving range is open ahead of its April 1 season opening.
All course openings are subject to weather.
Editors note: A previous version of the story reported the Desert Blume Golf Course would not be open until April 1. Desert Blume opened Saturday for the season.
