Man arrested after woman found dead

A woman is dead and a man is in custody following an incident in downtown Medicine Hat early Monday evening. A 911 call sent police to a home on the zero hundred block of Third Street SE at about 5:45 p.m., where officers located a deceased female. An unidentified adult male was arrested at the scene. The Medicine Hat Police Service’s Major Crimes Section and Forensic Identification Unit are investigating. According to police, there is no ongoing risk to the community at this time, and more details will be released when available. 4-3
