Southern Alberta issued snowfall warning from border to border

By Medicine Hat News on October 21, 2020.

A snowfall warning has been issued for the southernmost areas of Alberta, including Foremost and portions of Cypress County.

Environment Canada predicts that up to four inches of snow could fall by the end of the day Wednesday, with the heaviest accumulations in the Cypress Hills and on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

The snow was expected to begin late Tuesday and move eastward, affecting Cardston, Fort Macleod, Lethbridge, Milk River and Taber, before moving into the extreme southeast corner of the province.

Maple Creek, Shaunavon and Val Marie in Saskatchewan were subject of similar warnings.

In Medicine Hat, snow throughout the day is predicted Wednesday, then much colder overnight temperatures in the minus-teens through the weekend.
