Sport and event council develops guide to assist those looking to host

By Medicine Hat News on October 1, 2020.

The Medicine Hat Sport and Event Council has released a new facility guide that aims to assist with organizations looking to either host or bid to host local events.

The 112-page digital guide – which MHSEC has been working on for the past year and a half – features comprehensive information on local event venues, schools, hotels, motels campgrounds and more.

MHSEC manager Kara Brake said in a Wednesday release that the guide will save countless hours for groups hoping to host an event in Medicine Hat.

“We are very excited to share this document with the community and our local stakeholders. Our team has spent so many hours gathering information and putting this together,” Brake says in the release. “This guide is a great resource. Anyone hosting or bidding to host an event will save an incredible amount of time by using it.”

The guide also serves as a hub for local information, with links to resources like Tourism Medicine Hat’s Dig In Dining Guide and Experience Guide. It can be viewed at https://tourismmedhat.cld.bz/MHSEC-Facility-Guide.
