Cyclists on highway Four teens on bikes crossing the TransCanada Highway on Saturday night led to a fender-bender but could have been worse, Mounties from Redcliff detachment said Monday. Authorities say they were called to the intersection of Highway 1 and Broadway Avenue at about 8 p.m. on Aug. 22, after they say four male teenagers attempted to cross north against the lights. That forced the driver of a Toyota Rav4 to take evasive action and it struck an Isuzu truck casuing minor damage. One cyclist made contact with the Toyota, but only minor injuries were reported. RCMP officials state the investigation is continuing, but are recommending all pedestrians and cyclists use precaution when approaching busy roads. Lights and reflective clothing should also be used.
