Stabbing at gathering in Crescent Heights

In the early hours of Friday morning police were called to the scene of a stabbing in Crescent Heights.

At about 2:20 a.m. on Aug. 21 police were called to a residence in the 1400 block of Fifth Avenue NE because a male had been stabbed with a knife. There had been a small gathering of people in the residence where the altercation occurred.

The victim was transported to hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say there is no general public safety risk as this appears to have been an isolated incident.

Medicine Hat Police Service’s major crime section is continuing to investigate.
