Police bike auction back on and set for Saturday

By Medicine Hat News on August 20, 2020.

A select number of bicycles recovered by police over the last year will go on the auction block this weekend.

That follows the cancellation of the general auction of all stolen, lost or otherwise unclaimed property which was cancelled in June due to restrictions on crowd size to control the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Medicine Hat Police Service said in a release Wednesday that 100 bicycles will be up for bid by Gateway Auction Services at 10 a.m. on Saturday. An online catalogue shows good condition models are open for bids at 11 a.m. on Saturday following an unrelated vehicle and RV sale. Prebidding online is open now.
