Police seek arson suspect after apartment fire

About 4 a.m. Monday police and fire services responded to a fire in an apartment building on Sprague Way. “It appears that an unidentified person had intentionally started a fire within the stairwell,” states a police report. “No one was injured and the damage was minimal due to the fire being put out at an early stage.” Police are treating the investigation as an arson case and members of the major crime section are working on identifying the person responsible.
