City police nab suspect wanted by cops in Winnipeg

By Medicine Hat News on July 24, 2020.

On Wednesday evening Medicine Hat Police Service, working in partnership with the Winnipeg Police Service, responded to a report of a stolen BMW SUV approaching the city.

MHPS conducted a high-risk vehicle stop and arrested a 24-year-old male from Calgary without incident. A search of the vehicle also revealed stolen property that is possibly from Manitoba. Total value of recovered property is estimated to be more than $50,000.

The male is being held in police custody awaiting a hearing. The name of the individual cannot be released as the formal charges have not been sworn to before a Justice of the Peace. Additional charges are pending from the WPS.
