Medicine Hat News The North Flats Neighbourhood Association is hoping a bottle drive on Saturday will help it keep its doors open for next school year. The group, which has offered free after-school and summer programming for kids in the Flats since 1996, recently had its funding cut by the Alberta government, and was subsequently rejected through a new application process. NFNA aims to help vulnerable and impoverished kids and families with not only child care but also social development and learning hurdles. The bottle drive is being held at the Crossroads Church parking lot at 1340 22nd St. SE, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 5
