In celebration of seniors week there is an online challenge. During Seniors Week, June 1-7, Alberta Health Services has a challenge designed to help seniors build physical strength and there are even some prizes to win. Physical strength can help to prevent falls, something that up to 30 per cent of seniors experience. Falling is not a normal part of aging, and there are steps we can take to reduce the likelihood of a fall. There are many activities to try, including stretching, yoga and ways to strengthen your sense of balance. Each online activity is the equivalent of one entry for a draw for prizes.
