If you have been complaining about the rough railway crossing in Box Springs, help is on the way.
On Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., 23rd Street NW (east of Box Springs Road) will be closed to traffic for the installation of wooden planks on the Canadian Pacific Railway crossing.
The repairs at this intersection are being done to improve the riding surface for vehicular traffic at the crossing.
During the road closure, traffic will be detoured onto 10th Avenue NW and Brier Park Road. Local access will be permitted for the gas-treating facility.
Motorists should expect delays while driving through the area and are advised to use alternate routes where possible.
