Calls for service back up and keeping city police busy

Medicine Hat Police Service fielded 65 calls for service this weekend – 38 Saturday and 27 Sunday – according to its website.

Over the course of those two days, MHPS received eight calls for theft – three of which were in regard to automobiles – seven suspicious person calls, six for public disturbance, five for noise, five driving complaints, five neighbour disputes, five calls for intoxicated persons, five for motor vehicle collisions, three for harassment or obscene phone calls, two break and enter calls, two for mischief, two youth complaints, two calls for suspicious vehicles, one for trespassing, one for assault, one for kidnapping or unlawful custody, one for graffiti, one animal complaint, one breach of probation, one weapon offence and one false alarm.

There were seven calls for service by 9:15 a.m. Monday, ranging from noise and public disturbance to theft and breaking and entering.
