The winners of the Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club home lotto and related 50-50 award are in. The delayed draw was held May 13 with Hatter Art Lorenz winning the title to the two-storey home, valued at $500,000 and built by Bravada Homes, in the 37th annual edition off the home give-away fundraiser for the service club. The grand prize was to be awarded on April 1, but was held over. Viewings of the new 1,900 square-foot residence with attached two-car front garage and finished basement were closed to the public due to pandemic restrictions, but moved online for virtual tours. It is located on Sierra Boulevard in the most recent phase of the Saamis community. Along with the main draw, Donald Nelson was the winner of separate 50-50 cash draw that had a guaranteed jackpot of $20,000. The Kinsmen use the draws as their largest fundraiser of the year, and funds go toward a variety of projects and programs, including public skating and swimming time in Medicine Hat and Redcliff. 7
