“Skate Spot”

A contractor will also begin installing an “informal” skate spot on the 300 block of Eighth Street NE, this week. That project is a community funded effort from the Medicine Hat Skateboard Association and several third-party donors. It is expected to be complete in July. Some rerouting may be needed during construction activity.

Water works on Division Avenue

Hamm Construction has begin replacing a major city water main on the South Hill and predicts work will continue through July causing disruption for traffic along Division Avenue.

The goal is to replace aging line and also segment delivery to geographically limit any future outage.

Crews are currently working at the staggered intersections of Division Avenue and Fifth Street SE and Fish Street SW, as well as a small area at the top of the Division Avenue Hill, south of Third Street.
