Annual Blessing of the Bikes moves online

The annual Blessing of the Bikes is going virtual. Both Fifth Avenue United Church and the local Harley Owners Group will be live streaming an online ceremony on Sunday at 11 a.m. on their respective Facebook pages to kick off the biking season while providing riders with a bit of spiritual guidance and protection. The event is open to all riders, all makes of motorcycle and people of all religious beliefs. For those seeking a more in-person experience, ride-by blessings will be available at the corner of Robinson Drive and Rice Court between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday. A pastor will be standing by the intersection to provide blessings to bikes that pass by. 5-4
