Public health officials have declared the work of the Easter Bunny an essential service one week out from the important day.
On Monday, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed that her office had been in contact with the purveyor of eggs and treats and has been assured that work is continuing.
Measures are being taken to ensure worldwide delivery proceeds safely and in the spirit with what we’re all doing to be extra safe and considerate this spring.
Work continues, stated a bulletin, but due to efforts to help all children, all locations and homes may not be visited on the actual day.
But no one will be forgotten, it states, and deliveries will proceed as chocolate and treats become available.
Easter Bunny Central Command will cross-reference its data with those children who are known to be extra patient and are particularly good at sharing with others. They may receive secondary shipments.
If households are not visited on Easter morning, parents and caretakers will be advised closer to the date of delivery. Crafts and drawings of spring themes are an effective way to pass the time.
As well, the Tooth Fairy has announced that all exchanges are going ahead with utmost care and safety procedures, and any teeth should be left out for collection as per standard practice.
