In response to the ongoing global pandemic, the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta has created a COVID-19 Response Fund for the region. Money from the fund will be distributed to local charities that provide crucial services to the communities’ most vulnerable populations. On top of the COVID-19 fund, CFSEA also announced last week that it will be repurposing its Spring Grant funding this year to help address immediate and urgent needs of charities in response to the pandemic. “Community Foundations have the capacity to be responsive and nimble to emergent needs of the community. We know from our previous funds that supported flood relief efforts, the generosity of residents and their desire to help others is inspiring.” executive director Chris Christie said in a statement.
