Employees and management at Cyclepath have been following the work Grit City Distillery has been doing recently and wanted to chip in to help.
In the past week or so, Grit City started making hand sanitizer and has been giving it away for free to Hatters. Cyclepath staff stepped up this week and is now delivering the sanitizer in batches.
“We’ve been throwing around ideas on how we could help, and we’ve got this great delivery van sitting here,” said general manager Cole Watson. “We called up Grit City and offered the van to them and they were thrilled.
“Whenever they have a group of orders for the hand sanitizer we pick it up and drive it around the city.”
People can call in to Grit City and place an order for the sanitizer. It will then be dropped off at your doorstep when a batch goes out.
“We drive corner-to-corner to deliver this stuff,” said Watson. “We’re avoiding close contact as much as everyone else, so we just leave it on the front steps and knock on the door.
“We’re basically on-call right now for Grit City.”
Watson says Cyclepath will continue to provide delivery for the foreseeable future.
