College libraries cease lending practice

Although Medicine Hat College’s libraries remain open for now, they are no longer lending out items. “In an effort to keep our community safe and healthy, we are not able to circulate materials for loan or accept money at the desk at this time,” reads a Monday Instagram post from Medicine Hat College Library. The libraries at Brooks and Medicine Hat campuses have also further reduced hours and will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bookstore is operating under the same hours. Last week, MHC reduced the libraries’ hours to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Hat and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Brooks. MHC has also extended the due date for all items in circulation, including laptops, to April 30. 6-5
