Local grocers offer special times for seniors, immunocompromised

NEWS FILE PHOTO Superstore is one of many grocery stores in the city offering special hours for seniors.

A number of local grocery stores have special hours set up for seniors and immunocompromised people.

Save-on-Foods is holding an hour of shopping for seniors and vulnerable people from 7-8 a.m.

Co-op stores are running from 8-9 a.m. and will serve seniors and immunocompromised people in that time frame.

Superstore is holding special hours between 7-8 a.m. for those who may be more at risk of getting COVID-19.

Both Safeway locations are open from 7-8 a.m.

Sobeys is open from 7-8 a.m. but there may occasionally be other people at the store.

Costco is running special hours for people over 60 on Tuesday and Thursday from 8-9 a.m. The store is not allowing anyone under 60 in, including grandchildren.

Both Shoppers Drug Mart locations are advertising that 9-10 a.m. Will be open to seniors and immunocompromised people.
