Hatter Bill Sanford will be taking the stage soon to share his experiences with PTSD.
A year ago Sanford was rear-ended while driving a semi-truck and trailer. Another semi-truck hit him while going 80 km/h. On top of a broken back, Sanford was diagnosed with PTSD.
“I stopped at another crash and I got hit bad,” he said. “I was pretty messed up physically and then the PTSD kicked in.”
Sanford will be speaking at the Mad Hatter Comedy Club on March 15 at 4 p.m. to tell his story.
“It’s going to be a lot about my personal experiences,” he said. “I want to speak to thousands of people – I love to speak.
“When I got into my accident, I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I want to be able to help people find the help they need.”
On top of listening and speaking, Sanford is working on a 13-step program. He says he will be more than happy to chat with people during his March 15 event.

Not to belittle Mr Sanford’s injuries or his PTSD, but now a days folks seem to get PTSD if they nick themselves shaving. I know folks that are quadriplegics from accidents and have lived 20 years as such but they’re not suffering from PTSD.
Folks suffer endlessly and continue on without harping on how tough they have it.
Life is hard, lets stop coddling everyone that says they’re suffering PTSD at every turn in life.
