Months after being dropped off at a local boarding kennel, seven-year-old Fila de Sao Miguel Rubble is still looking for his forever home.
Rubble and another dog Petey were never picked up after being left at Pet Park Boarding Kennel in September. The Southern Alberta Humane Society is now working to find Rubble a family.
“Rubble is a sweet boy who just wants to be loved,” said board member De Seaton. “He is gentle and he is medium-active. His back leg holds him back a bit.
“He can be good with kids, but they need to have a good respect for animals. He cannot go to a home with cats.”
While the organization is hoping he finds a home as soon as possible, Seaton says they will be putting Rubble to work for the year.
“His job now is that he is our mascot for 2020,” she said. “If he gets adopted, he’ll stay our mascot as long as that’s OK with his family.”
Rubble comes with an adoption fee of $200. More information can be found at http://www.southernalbertahumanesociety.com
