This weekend is an RV lover’s dream.
The annual Holiday RV Show and Sale is taking place all weekend at the Medicine Hat and Stampede’s Cypress Centre.
“We’ve got everything here,” said sales manager Chad Baigent. “We’ve got four-in-one tent trailers to little R-Pods. We’ve got extended-stay units and everything in between.
“We have units that can sleep 10 to 12, or units that can just sleep two.”
The show is set up until Sunday at 4 p.m. Baigent says there is a lot of excitement around RVs right now.
“A few years ago backup cameras were not very common, they’re all compatible with them now,” he said. “One brand of RVs is now monitoring tire heat so people can slow down and check their tires.
“Everything now is bluetooth capable and people can set up their entire RV with their phone.”
Baigent says people can walk into the show, no appointment needed, and chat with a salesperson for as long as they need.
“We’ve got enough people here to help everyone out,” he said. “We even have tech guys here to answer questions about how things are built.”
Baigent says the most common question people ask about a unit is if their truck will be able to pull it.
“We’ll make sure everything is the right size and weight,” he said. “If we aren’t 100 per cent sure, we can call the manufacturer and double check.”
Baigent says a sale like this can be beneficial to the buyer.
“We’ve got everything lit up here for the weekend – we can’t do that on the lot,” he said. “This is a great way to see all of the features. You can sit down for 30 minutes and really enjoy a unit for as long as you want.”
