Sirens Bar & Grill is hosting a “Wing-Off” next month to raise funds for the Cypress County Fire Department’s annual participation in a stair climb at Calgary’s Bow Tower.

The wing-eating competition is happening March 7 at 3 p.m., with an entry fee of $40 for participants.

There will be four pounds of wings served. The first round will be a pound of one alarm heat, the second a pound of three alarm, the third a pound of five alarm and the fourth will be DNR, or “unreal hot.”

Each participants receives a jug of water and all chicken must be eaten off the bone.

There are 10 spaces open for participants.

The annual stair climb is hosted by Wellspring Calgary and has firefighters raise money to climb the building’s 1,204 steps in full gear, with proceeds going towards firefighters fighting occupational cancer.
