Four people are dead following a two-vehicle collision south of Vauxhall on Friday morning.
RCMP from the Taber detachment say that a southbound pick-up truck and a northbound passenger van carrying eight people collided at about 7:15 a.m. on Highway 36 south of Secondary Highway 875.
The lone occupant of the truck and and the driver and two passengers in the van were pronounced dead on the scene. Six others in the van were assessed at the site and transported to various hospitals.
HALO air rescue helicopter confirmed that it was dispatched to the scene.
Traffic is being diverted in the area from Highway 36, between No. 875, also known as the South Hays Road, and Township Road 112, north of Taber.
The investigation is continuing and authorities are advising travellers to expect delays.
