A 26-year-old male from Dunmore has been charged in connection to a September robbery of the Carry Drive 7-Eleven. On Sept. 11 at 11:39 p.m., a suspect wearing a bandana over his face and sunglasses entered the convenience store with a weapon, demanding cash from a staff member. They then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. There were no physical injuries resulting from the robbery. Cameron Beaudoin faces charges of robbery with a firearm (or imitation) and wearing a disguise to commission an indictable offence. He’s been released after appearing before a justice of the peace, with his next court appearance scheduled for Dec. 12. The same store was robbed less than three weeks later by a suspect wearing a gorilla mask, who was apprehended in October, but cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act because he’s 15 years old. He was also charged with robbery with a firearm and wearing a disguise to commit an indictable offence. In both instances, news releases from the Medicine Hat Police Service credited members of the public with providing information that assisted with tracking the suspects down. 9
